Our Mission.

The Connecticut Fencing Foundation is a not-for-profit organization serving communities throughout the state of Connecticut. Our sole mission is to promote the sport of fencing and enrich the youth of our region with exposure to sword sport. We are made up of a group of trustees and donors that whole-heartedly believe in the value of sport as a template for life, and are fascinated with and passionate about fencing most of all. 

We seek to affect and enforce positive change with a two-headed approach. Firstly, the Connecticut Fencing Foundation, affectionately known as the CFF, wishes to celebrate the achievement and accomplishment of Connecticut's top student athletes who are already passionate about the sport fencing. With our annual Fencer's Excellence Award, we challenge the best young fencers in the state to show us what dedication and drive mean to them.

Next, we seek enrichment at the grassroots level. In the very near future, the CFF plans to sponsor introductory fencing classes for the underprivileged youth of Connecticut. In bringing fencing to those children who would otherwise not have access to it, it is of tremendous benefit to all; Connecticut Fencing will have been made all the more stronger, and those fledgling fencers will have had the passion for fencing shown to them.

The Connecticut Fencing Foundation is recognized by the Connecticut Division of the United States Fencing Association, and is a friend to Connecticut fencing in its many forms.
